Experience in SQL, dashboard building, data collection and transformation, visualization, or a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python). Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation that improve user safety. Experience working closely with policy teams. Education in, or experience with, machine learning. Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence cross‑functionally at various levels. Job Overview Trust & Safety team members identify and address the biggest threats to the safety and integrity of Google’s products. They use technical know‑how, problem‑solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and partners from abuse across Search, Maps, Gmail, Google Ads, and other services. In this role you will think strategically, collaborate globally, and advocate for user safety while working with engineers, product managers, and policy experts to fight abuse and fraud at Google speed. The Responsible AI (RAI) pillar within Trust & Safety drives industry‑leading responsible AI solutions. RAI is a global team with expertise in operations, strategy, ethics, risk management, product management, and program management. The Responsible AI Strategy function creates coherent strategies on priority AI issues, partners with teams across Alphabet and industry, develops evaluation frameworks, and guides teams on the risks and opportunities of AI‑generated content. Responsibilities Be accountable for cross‑cutting clarity, foresight, and strategic alignment for trust and safety issues related to agentic AI products and models. Drive projects to address priority agentic AI risks and opportunities in partnership with functional and product teams. Participate in response to escalations and incidents alongside partners across Google and DeepMind. Engage as needed with product and modeling teams to support the above. Ensure clear and consistent communications to senior leadership across trust and safety and beyond on key plans and projects. Provide partnership and support to other cross‑cutting issue areas as needed. This role will work with sensitive content or situations and may encounter graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics.
