This contract position offers the chance to make a real difference in SPED classrooms, working alongside dedicated educators and para teams. The assignment begins August 11 and continues through May 21, 2027, with possible vacancies at area middle schools. Your adaptability will be key, as daily assignments or locations may shift to match student and school needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 full year working in SPED classrooms required
• Prior experience supporting significant or severe caseloads is strongly preferred
• Two completed, professional RefAssured references must be submitted at the time of application
• Flexibility to work in various school settings and with different age groups as needs change
• Able to reliably commute and arrive by 7:40am (elementary) or 8:00am (middle/high schools)—public transit, rideshares or taxis do not meet requirements
• Immediate fingerprinting required after accepting an offer; any criminal charges will disqualify candidates
• Comfortable providing personal care, including assistance with toileting and diapering as needed

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver instructional support and individualized care to students in SPED classrooms
• Assist with classroom activities, behavioral management, and academic programming
• Adapt to student needs and support inclusion across different school sites if reassigned
• Maintain confidentiality and foster a safe, supportive environment
• Engage collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
