CNC Machinist
Location: Rock Hill, SC 29732
Employment Type: Full Time
Client: Olympic Steel
Payrate: $35-$40/hr
Timing:12:30pm to 9pm (will flex or they can work 4 x 10s if they want)
Haas Lathes
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (or mills) for production and job shop work
- Program and edit CNC programs at the machine
- Read and interpret blueprints and customer specifications
- Select tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards
- 2+ years of CNC lathe (or mill) machining experience
- Ability to independently set up and run jobs from start to finish
- CNC programming experience required
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and other inspection tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Haas CNC lathes (or mills) and Haas controls
- Experience machining stainless steel, alloy steel, and specialty metals
