Job Description
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY SPECIALIST (Permanent)
Our client, a global manufacturing organization with its US headquarters in WNY, is looking to hire an EHS Specialist to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily responsibilities that create a proactive safety culture across multiple locations
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and workplace observations throughout all production, warehouse, and office locations
Identify potential hazards and collaborate with various team members to implement effective corrective measures
Promote and monitor compliance with PPE requirements and established safe work practices
Perform job hazard analyses, ergonomic assessments, and machine safety evaluations
Track safety issues as they are being corrected to ensure timely response and closure
Participate in investigations of incidents, near misses, and environmental events to determine the root cause, support corrective action implementation, and drive continuous safety improvement
Ensure accurate/up to date OSHA records and incident reports are maintained and maintain compliance
Present incident results and information to other internal departments to act as learning opportunities
Provide EHStraining for new hires, existing employees, and contractors as necessary
Promoteemployee participation in safety programs, encouraging safe behavior, andprovide coaching and training through presence on the production floor
Participate inaudits and inspections by providing EHS documentation
Manage variousenvironmental programs-chemical handling, spill prevention, and wastemanagement-to ensure strict adherence to OSHA/EPA/DOT and companyregulations
Collaboratewith Maintenance, Engineering, & Production to ensure safe operationsoccur at all times
Participate insafety upgrades, equipment installations, facility upgrades, andimplementing new safety protocols
Work well bothindependently and in a team environment
Other dutiesas assigned/as necessary

Details:

Positionis full-time, direct hire
100%in-office
$75,000 - $95,000annually depending on experience
Excellentbenefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision (effective day 1), 401k with upto 5% match, PTO, Paid holidays, Safety shoe/glasses annual reimbursement
2+ years' in anindustrial or manufacturing environment
Bachelor'sdegree in EHS or equivalent experience in a related field
Must be ableto stand/walk/climb stairs, occasionally lift materials, wear requiredPPE, and work in an environment with noise and moving equipment
Strongorganization skills and time management skills
Strongattention to detail
Self-motivated
Relocationnot available
