As a Security Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving major technical transformations and securing enterprise platforms across Capital One.What You'll Do:Lead the design and delivery of technology platforms and automated controls across cloud and on-prem environmentsArchitect and implement scalable solutions for IAM, endpoint, network, and data protection systemsDevelop advanced automation for vulnerability management, detection, and compliance monitoringServe as a technical advisor during complex incident response and forensics investigationsPartner with software, cloud and infrastructure teams to embed security by design into enterprise platformsEvaluate and integrate new security technologies, ensuring interoperability and operational scalabilityInfluence and codify engineering standards, patterns, and reusable modulesParticipate in ongoing support of security tools, including investigations, analysis and break fixBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent CertificationAt least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technologyAt least 4 years of experience with Secure Web Gateways (SWG), proxy technologies, and remote access solutionsAt least 2 years of experience designing and implementing automated security solutionsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree3+ years of experience building specialization and expertise in a focused discipline of cybersecurity4+ years of experience with CI/CD security integration, infrastructure as code, or serverless computing5+ years of experience with security tools such as IAM, endpoint, vulnerability management or network security technologies6+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure security engineeringExperience leading enterprise-scale architecture or automation initiativesOne or more professional certifications: CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, CIDPRO or GIAC Cloud SecurityExperience in application security and software development in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD integrationCapital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer).The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.Riverwoods, IL: $179,400 - $204,700 for Security Engineer 4Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
