CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description CNC - Machinist - DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY * Shift is Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. * Must have desire to grow and learn and eventually lead/supervise. * Set up and operate CNC milling machines and related equipment to machine plastic components and thermoforming molds according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications. * Participate in the design and machining of molds and tooling for plastic thermoforming using CAD/CAM software (experience with Mastercam preferred). * Perform basic edits/programming to CNC programs under supervision. * Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure conformance to specifications. * Assist with secondary operations such as trimming, deburring, and light assembly as needed. * Communicate clearly with the Lead Machinist and Production Manager to ensure production goals and quality standards are met. * 3+ years of experience as a CNC machinist or in a similar machining role (plastics and mold-making experience preferred). * Familiarity with the design and machining of molds for plastic thermoforming is a strong plus but not necessary (training will take place). * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop documentation. * Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation; experience with Mastercam or other CAD/CAM software is a plus. * Comfortable working with hand tools and measurement instruments. * Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members. * Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
