Company Description DX Electric is a value-added distributor of essential electrical C-parts and components, serving as a solution-oriented supply chain partner to a diverse base of OEM customers across industrial end markets. DX Electric operates a high-touch, service-driven business centered around a vendor-managed inventory(“VMI”) model. DX offers a broad portfolio of low-cost, high-volume, critical-to-production products, including wire and cable, terminals and connectors, wire coverings and duct, cable ties, hardware and fasteners, lugs, etc.as well as value-added services (custom kitting and packaging, wire cutting, labeling, light assembly). About the Role As an Outside Sales Representative at DX Electric, you are responsible for actively managing and growing an assigned book of accounts through the sale of a broad range of electrical products. The role is also expected to drive territory growth through consistent prospecting and CRM activity, with performance measured across both areas. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships. Deliver responsive, solutions-oriented service and continually look for ways to improve customers’ businesses. Approach complex customer needs with a positive, resourceful mindset and recognize the sales opportunities they may create. Prospect for new business, solicit orders, identify customer needs, and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Manage inventory for designated customers, including generating orders based on usage, coordinating delivery, and stocking products in a clean and organized manner. Conduct regular sales calls with prospective customers to support territory growth. Introduce and demonstrate new products. Develop and maintain sustainable sales volume and profitability. Complete and submit required documentation in a timely and organized manner. Essential Qualifications and Experience At least 5 years of demonstrated sales and negotiation experience within the electrical supply industry. Strong knowledge of electrical products and parts. Customer-service mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and meet established deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Highly motivated, self-directed, and comfortable working independently. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and other standard business applications. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
