Physical Therapist

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment programs, establish appropriate treatment goals, and collaborate with patients and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. The role also involves clinical documentation, staff education, student supervision, and participation in program development.

Acute care experience is preferred.

• Evaluate patients and develop appropriate physical therapy treatment plans.
• Implement treatment programs in accordance with established procedures and clinical standards.
• Formulate specific and measurable treatment goals in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient notes and discharge records in a timely manner.
• Attend designated clinics, rounds, conferences, and other clinical meetings.
• Provide relevant patient information to members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in educational programs for staff members, students, volunteers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff members.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for senior-level physical therapy students.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new programs and services.
• Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, professional, and organizational standards.
• Complete all required pre-employment health clearance requirements.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• New York State Physical Therapist License or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience required.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient-care skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance .
