Multi-Modality Technologist -X-Ray & CT Certified

Job Title Registered Radiologic Technologist Schedule Sun - Thurs evenings + Weekend and call rotation (required) Job Summary We are seeking a proficient multi-modality Radiologic Technologist. X‑Ray & CT experience is required and ARRT CT certification preferred. Must be able to obtain and process quality images; complete all required documentation and paperwork timely; prepare patients for examinations in a professional manner; provide safe care based on age‑specific needs of the patient; interact with radiologists and diagnostic imaging team effectively, and comply with protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be self‑motivated, compassionate, empathetic and congenial. Must be comfortable working independently and have exceptional problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills. Because our workload is inconsistent we need someone who can be adaptable. Responsibilities Greets patients, explains procedures, answers questions, shows patient to changing room and assists when necessary For ED/med surg patients, notifies nurse patient will be leaving the unit, ensures unhooking from monitoring equipment, ensures patient passport is filled, ensures proper changing for exam, and that ancillary equipment such as O2 is available Prepares exam rooms to receive patients, ensures equipment is clean, functioning, and supplies are ready Prepares patients for exams, removes items that could cause artifacts, uses ALARA principles, performs routine and specialty diagnostic radiology exams, and shields patients when possible Produces diagnostic images with accurate positioning and optimizes image quality with appropriate technique selection Closes out exams and sends images for interpretation Monitors and stocks radiology supplies, checks for expired items, performs QC, and documents when required Follows equipment maintenance requirements, shut-down, warm-up and QC schedules as appropriate Performs basic office duties including answering the phone, scheduling radiology exams, assisting with obtaining protocols, ensuring prior authorizations, sending images to other facilities, and creating discs when requested Performs necessary record keeping for sending images and scanning documents into PACS and EMR Takes call as requested and is available during on‑call hours, within 30‑45 minutes of the hospital when on‑call Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Must possess ARRT (R) and (CT) or (M) certification New Hampshire Imaging License Valid BLS Certification Multi‑modality experience (preferred) Excellent customer service and patient care skills Experience with Athena and Cerner (preferred) Live within 30 minutes of the hospital for on‑call (preferred) Location Woodsville, New Hampshire Shift Sun - Thurs evenings + Weekend and call rotation Specialty Type Diagnostic Imaging General Certifications
