Sr. Android DeveloperLocation: Overland Park KS (Onsite) W2 ContractNote: All interviews (internal/client) will be in-person in any client offices (Atlanta, GA or Frisco/Dallas, TX or Overland Park, KS)Job DescriptionMinimum of 8+ years of experience in Android developmentStrong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of AndroidGood experience in the following: Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, background operations in Android apps, Jetpack Compose, Work Manager, Job Scheduler, RxJava, Services, Foreground Services, Retrofit, Dagger DI, Room Database Library, GitFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android apps to back-end servicesStrong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practicesExperience with offline storage, threading and performance tuningKnowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasksAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirementsFamiliarity with cloud (Azure) and push notificationsNice to have: Headless app development experienceEducation:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
