Senior Supplier Engineer

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Supplier Engineer in Santa Clara to develop and validate manufacturing processes for medical device components and assemblies. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, supplier management, and scale-up of robotic and digital solutions for new product development and sustained production.

Responsibilities

• Own development, characterization, and validation of supplier components for new product and sustaining production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes for performance and cost
• Drive supplier continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, and statistical process control methods
• Manage supplier priorities, tooling requirements, and manufacturing specifications with minimal oversight
• Support corrective actions and root cause analysis for supplier process issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum five years in regulated industry, preferably medical devices
• Manufacturing process characterization, development, and validation experience
• Proficiency in GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation
• Knowledge of injection molding, machining, SMT, PCB, or assembly technologies
• Expertise in 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 regulations
• Supplier management and process improvement experience preferred
