You'll ensure smooth operations, quality medication management, and clinical problem-solving. Every day, you will provide basic medication triage, support services, and take vital signs for behavioral health patients. You'll manage front office reception, patient registration, insurance/copay processing, and telephones, while also handling back office tasks like refill requests, injections, and accurate EHR documentation. To be successful, you need strong multitasking, meticulous attention to detail, and a rapid ability to learn complex information accurately. Exceptional customer service, calm under pressure, EHR proficiency, and strict confidentiality are essential, along with flexibility to float.Responsibilities:Assist with patient/family care needs from admission to discharge.Monitor patient on Q15 min. observations including (Q5, LOS, and 1:1 obs.)Accurately monitor and record patient VS, intake, and output, and daily activities, including patio breaks.Assist Nurses with patient care to include Groups, Activities of daily living, as neededMust be able to effectively communicate with patients in crises and assist RNs with restraining patientsAssist in maintaining adequate stocks and supplies.Job Requirements:Required:High School Graduate or GEDMinimum of one (1) year mental healthworker experience working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient or residential settingAHA Basic Life Support - CPRFire Safety, within 90 DaysPreferred:Minimum 1 year of acute patient care experienceCertified Nursing Assistant: CAEmergency Medical Technician: CAFounded in 1955, Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located.
