Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Operating Room to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Assess patient conditions and collaborate with surgical team members.
• Administer medications as prescribed during the surgical procedure.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and report any abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting is required.
• Current CA RN license in good standing.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Able to handle call schedule of 4-6 calls in a 6-week period, including weekends.
• Proficiency in performing various surgical procedures such as thoracotomy, appendectomy, and hernia repair.
