About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in commercial construction finance to join its executive team. The CFO will be a key player in the organization's financial operations, providing the necessary vision, insight, and leadership to support the company's growth and expansion. This role demands a professional with over 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the commercial construction industry, including a deep understanding of construction accounting, WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, job costing, and cash flow management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all financial functions, from budgeting and forecasting to long-range financial planning, and must have a proven track record of partnering with executive leadership on strategic planning and profitability improvement. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, with a CPA designation preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and team development skills, who can also manage banking relationships, bonding programs, insurance, external audits, and financial compliance. Experience with construction ERP systems is essential. The CFO will be expected to strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and reporting capabilities, as well as to mentor and develop the accounting and finance team. A hands-on, collaborative approach and a commitment to operational excellence are in line with the company's values and culture.
