PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY | ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER

$45,000–$60,000 DOE | Mobile, AL

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Are you the person who knows how to get money in the door?

A growing Mobile company is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to take ownership of its AR, Credit & Collections operation.

This is not a data-entry AR position. We are looking for someone who understands the numbers, knows how to build an effective collection strategy, can make sound credit decisions, and is comfortable leading a team and being accountable for results.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Accounts Receivable & Collections – Manage aging, collection activity, past-due accounts, and recovery strategies
• Credit Management – Evaluate new accounts, establish credit terms and limits, conduct credit reviews, and make recommendations
• Team Leadership – Supervise, coach, develop, and manage AR department employees
• Reporting & Analysis – Analyze aging reports, AR activity, KPIs, and department performance
• Customer Resolution – Work with customers, sales, and customer service to resolve billing and payment issues
• Process Improvement – Identify inefficiencies and implement better processes for accuracy, accountability, and results

THE PERSON WE WANT

You have proven Accounts Receivable management experience and understand that successful receivables management is about more than sending statements.

You know how to:

• Work and manage an aging report
• Develop and execute effective collection strategies
• Handle difficult customer conversations professionally
• Evaluate credit risk and make sound credit decisions
• Identify problems before they become bigger problems
• Use reporting and data to drive results
• Lead, coach, and hold a team accountable
• Work independently while partnering effectively with sales and management

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience managing Accounts Receivable, Credit & Collections
• Supervisory or management experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with an accounting/ERP system such as Sage 50, Net Suites, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Salesforce or similar
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen required
