DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting records. Based in Houston, Texas, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the organization.Responsibilities:• Manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.• Prepare comprehensive financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.• Oversee document control processes, including scanning and compiling documentation for record-keeping purposes.• Implement and maintain accounting procedures to improve operational efficiency.• Monitor and analyze financial data to support decision-making and business strategy.• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and laws.• Utilize Yardi software to manage and streamline accounting processes.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with organizational objectives.• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development.Requirements• A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.• Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.• Advanced knowledge of Yardi software and its applications in accounting.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.• Thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Job typePerm
