About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Description: The role involves caring for patients in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, coronary artery disease, diabetes, and various respiratory conditions. You will manage patients post-cardiac catheterization and handle cardiac drips not titrated for blood pressure. Special procedures include pre and post angiograms, central line insertions, and wound care. You will work with telemetry monitoring systems and be responsible for a patient ratio of 6. Dysrhythmias management is a critical aspect of the position. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is essential for patient care. You will also perform various general surgical procedures and interventions. The environment can include potential for med-surg overflow cases. Flexibility with scheduling is required due to possible coverage needs.
