Optical Sales Associate Responsibilities

As an Optical Sales Associate, you will:

\tDeliver exceptional customer service from check-in through eyewear dispensing.
\tVerify vision insurance eligibility and explain available patient benefits.
\tProcess orders for prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately.
\tAssist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and premium lens options that best fit their lifestyle and vision needs.
\tEducate patients on lens materials, coatings, blue light protection, progressive lenses, and other vision solutions.
\tCoordinate with optical laboratories regarding order status and delivery timelines.
\tPerform billing, documentation, and order tracking with a high level of accuracy.
\tMaintain a clean, organized optical dispensary while supporting the doctors and clinical staff.
\tBuild long-term patient relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
\tTwo or more years of optical sales, optical retail, or optician experience preferred.
\tStrong customer service and sales skills.
\tExcellent verbal and written communication abilities.
\tHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
\tAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
\tPositive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\tExperience with vision insurance verification is preferred.
