Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer. This role provides an opportunity to apply technical expertise while developing proficiency in land development, including site planning, stormwater management, utility design, and permit documentation. Under the guidance of a Project Engineer and Project Manager, you will contribute to engineering design, calculations, and project coordination, gaining hands-on experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading design, and stormwater management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Produce stormwater management calculations, utility design, preliminary and final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, completion of permit documents, and other reports with the direction and guidance of the project engineer and project manager.
\n
• Utilizes time management and organizational skills to excel at project tasks.
\n
• Prioritize projects tasks for multiple ongoing projects.
\n
• Coordinates with project subconsultants to obtain the necessary information for project design with the direction and guidance of the project engineer and project manager.
\n
• Continuously meets all deadlines or informs the project manager well in advance if a deadline cannot be met due to extenuating circumstances.
\n
• Assist the project team in preparing the project schedule and include all necessary tasks to define the critical path.
\n
• Develops a team first mentality and devotes discretionary effort as needed to help the team succeed whenever necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university
\n
• Focused, motivated, and results oriented.
\n
• EIT credentials (passing the FE exam) preferred, but not required.
\n
• Embraces teamwork approach and possesses strong communication skills.
\n
• Must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
\n
• Must possess a strong desire to learn and advance one's technical skills.
