In this Access Control role, you remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help reduce security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Mon 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM Wed 06:00 AM – 12:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM Responsibilities Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site‑specific access control procedures, identification checks, and security‑related protocols appropriate to a utilities location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment yards, and other controlled locations. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security‑related issues. Support daily operations by documenting activities, reporting incidents, and following post orders, emergency response activities, and established procedures for the location. Minimum Requirements A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
