Semi Truck Driver Class A

Job Description

This Semi Truck Driver Class A position offers a full-time, local driving opportunity with steady work throughout the year. The role involves operating dry van trucks on local routes, ensuring timely deliveries with a focus on safety and compliance. Drivers will be home every night and enjoy benefits after three months of employment. Experience with manual transmissions and a strong safety record are essential.

Responsibilities

Operate semi trucks on local routes, primarily handling dry goods
Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation
Comply with DOT and safety regulations at all times
Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper maintenance and safety
Secure loads properly to prevent damage or accidents
Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
Communicate clearly with dispatch and relevant personnel

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of truck driving experience
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Defensive driving skills and knowledge of DOT regulations
Proficiency with GPS navigation
Experience with vehicle maintenance and inspection
Strong time management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
