Construction Quality Control Manager

Overview Stampede Ventures, a company within the BSNC family, is seeking a qualified individual with DoD contract experience. The candidate will perform all facets of the Bering Straits East Coast model, including safety and quality control management, submittal tracking, daily reporting, communicating deficiencies to the customer, running multiple sites simultaneously, and other duties as assigned. This position supports a current contract that serves various DoD locations. Depending on workload, the role may extend to additional contracts as needed. Wage/Salary Range: $125,000-165,000. Applicants will be contacted via phone or email within ten (10) business days of submittal. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Management of task order projects in the Washington DC region. Ability to read drawings/prints. Safety experience in multi-trade construction projects. Knowledge of OSHA and EM-385 requirements. Experience enforcing corporate or site quality control programs. Written and oral communication with customers, subcontractors, and internally to provide project updates. Knowledge of all aspects of a construction project (electrical, HVAC, Fire Alarm, Fire Suppression, architectural, etc.). Non-Essential Duties Have existing relationships with Federal government & DoD customers in the DC Metro Region. Experience working with 8(a) companies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications – Experience, Education and Certification Three years’ experience as a quality control manager on industrial or commercial projects. Quality Manager with a minimum of 10 years in related work OR a BS degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management with 5 years of construction Contractor Quality Control experience. Contractor Quality Control Manager / Contractor Quality Control System Manager / Quality Control Manager certifications. Completed USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Training within the past 5 years. ICD/ICS 705 training (in-person, minimum 32 hours) with examination; certificate of completion to be provided within 90 days of hire. Experience on projects exceeding $500,000 (HVAC and electrically heavy projects) and experience with the USACE. US Citizenship. OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained after employment). Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain security clearance; favorable National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI) per AR 380-67. Knowledge, skills and abilities including organization and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of local vendors and subcontractor companies. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work Environment You will work in an office environment and visit job sites regularly. A lift and/or move up to 25 pounds may be required. Exposure to extreme cold or hot weather conditions can occur during site visits. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities required. Additional Qualifying Factors Pre-employment drug screening may be required. Acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military bases. Reliable transportation to/from work and ability to obtain access to military installations.
