Join our healthcare partner as a Radiation Oncology Nurse, where you'll play a pivotal role in assessing and providing appropriate nursing interventions for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Your expertise will be crucial in teaching, counseling, and supporting patients and their families as they navigate the challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment. As a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, you'll ensure seamless coordination of care and referrals for alternative resources.

• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology Team to deliver exceptional patient care
• Assess and provide nursing interventions for patients' actual or potential problems
• Assist in the evaluation and examination of patients with the Radiation Oncologist
• Coordinate oncology patient care with interdisciplinary staff
• Provide referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services
• Maintain current knowledge of trends, skills, procedures, and protocols in oncology

Requirements:

• RN with current Colorado license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Need 2 years experience in Radiation Oncology setting
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary team members
• Knowledge of chronic illness and comorbidity management
• Understanding of evidence-based oncology, immunology, pharmacology, and cultural sensitivity
