Gain valuable teaching experience! Overview Oxford Learning Woodstock is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. Requirements All teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term June2026 is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better. Reliable presence and ability to commute to the location. This is an in‑person position; online teaching is not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field. Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Teaching certification is an asset. Good knowledge of the current Grades9‑12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Strong English written and oral communication skills. Robust math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities: Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels. Teaching online and in‑person. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies. Filling in post‑lesson notes. Completing daily student communication updates. Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times. Providing smiles, high‑fives and happy students. Rewards Other rewards of the role include: Fun staff events. Compensation & Schedule Job type: Part‑time Salary: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour Schedule: Evenings Monday to Friday; Saturday availability.
