The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for the sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments. This role includes the assembly and wrapping of surgical instrument sets. Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing. Certification as a CBSPD or HSPA is required. The position requires working rotating weekends and holidays as needed. Clinicians may be required to float to other areas as necessary. Travelers should be willing to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season. RTO (Request Time Off) must be provided during the application process. Approval for RTO will depend on departmental needs. All candidates must be compliant with pre-start requirements, including labs and modules. Once hired, travelers are expected to adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines. Every effort will be made to accommodate preferred scheduling, but flexibility is essential. This position serves a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with a high daily patient census. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to ensure successful onboarding. The role is integral to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety in the surgical environment. Being detail-oriented and able to follow strict protocols is essential for success in this position. All procedures must comply with current health and safety regulations in sterile processing.
