About the role

Physicians Research Group is seeking an experienced Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to support dermatology clinical trials at our Phoenix partner site.

This role is centered on finding and engaging potential participants. You’ll lead the site’s recruitment workflow from initial inquiry and prescreening through screening visits while coordinating study activities for an agreed portfolio of trials. You’ll work closely with the investigator, dermatology practice staff, and PRG’s research operations team.

The right person is organized, comfortable speaking with prospective participants, and able to keep recruitment moving while maintaining careful study documentation.

What you’ll do

• Lead recruitment and enrollment activities for assigned dermatology studies.
• Respond to participant inquiries promptly during assigned coverage hours, with a target of 15 minutes when feasible.
• Coordinate approved recruitment methods, including provider referrals, EHR candidate identification, and PRG-supported outreach.
• Conduct initial prescreening, explain study next steps, schedule visits, and follow up with prospective participants.
• Track recruitment activity from initial lead through prescreening, screening, consent, and enrollment.
• Review screening outcomes and participant feedback to identify recruitment barriers and improve follow-up.
• Coordinate participant visits and study procedures for an agreed portfolio of trials.
• Maintain accurate source documentation, data entry, essential documents, and study trackers.
• Support monitoring visits and follow up on assigned action items.
• Communicate promptly with the investigator and PRG about participant safety, protocol, recruitment, or workload concerns.
• Help orient and support other coordinators on site recruitment workflows.

What we’re looking for

• At least one year of site-based clinical research experience.
• Demonstrated experience with participant recruitment, enrollment, or retention.
• Experience coordinating multiple studies or managing competing priorities.
• Phlebotomy experience and comfort with routine clinical research procedures.
• Strong communication skills with patients, providers, and research teams.
• Reliable follow-through, sound organization, and careful attention to documentation.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix and build positive relationships with participants and practice staff.

Preferred qualifications

• Dermatology research experience.
• Experience with EHR-based candidate identification or clinical research recruitment campaigns.
• Familiarity with RealTime CTMS or another clinical trial management system.
• Clinical research certification or relevant degree.

• Participants are scheduled and supported through the screening process.
