Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

We are seeking a locums certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) to join a collaborative hospital-based anesthesia team in Winchester, Virginia. This opportunity offers a flexible weekday schedule with no call, no weekends, and a diverse case mix in a supportive 1:4 care team model.

Position Highlights

• Hospital & Ambulatory Surgery Center Setting
• Flexible schedule options:
• 4 x 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• 5 x 10-hour shifts
• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• 4 x 12-hour shifts
• Monday–Friday coverage
• No Call
• No Weekends
• Full-time coverage preferred; providers available 2–3 weeks per month will be considered.

Practice Details

• Collaborative 1:4 care team model with anesthesiologist support
• Adult patient population
• No cardiac anesthesia cases
• Daily Electrophysiology (EP) coverage
• Limited OB exposure with potential for future expansion
• Case volume varies from approximately 2 complex procedures to 15 endoscopy cases per day

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Endoscopy
• Electrophysiology (EP)
• Limited Obstetrics

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for surgical and procedural cases.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop anesthesia care plans.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and provide post-anesthesia care.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate documentation using Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• NBCRNA Certified
• Active Virginia license or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of 3–5 years of CRNA experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
• Strong general anesthesia skills
• Spinal and epidural anesthesia experience preferred
