Company Overview Urgent Care Clinic is hiring Medical Assistants in Brooklyn and Queens. Urgent Care Clinics provide treatment for the non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries and in such cases, it is more efficient to use an urgent care clinic than an ER in terms of both money and time. Position Overview Patient Care Coordinators prove to be a vital part of our team in being the first friendly face our patients see when they visit us! As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play an instrumental role in greeting & supporting our patients during registration, ensuring comprehensive patient documentation & verifying & explaining insurance coverage, patient responsibility, policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Greeting & guiding patients
- Addressing phone calls
- Registering patients in our electronic medical records system
- Scanning & updating electronic medical records
- Processing & verifying insurance coverage / collecting patient responsibility
- Explaining ModernMD's services & processing, addressing questions as needed
- Performing follow up calls, as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Flu Vaccine, Proof of Covid Vaccination Card, and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in urgent care.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and diplomacy skills - team player who takes initiative and maintains a professional demeanor across all interactions.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a high level of organization.
- Strong knowledge of all technical skills associated with certification and job function.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple managers and key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish, Bengali, Arabic, Creole, French, or Hindi, a plus
