Sterile Processing Manager Full Time

Community Hospital is hiring a Full Time Sterile Processing Manager with a $1,500 Sign on Bonus . Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Sterile Processing Manager is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment; reassembly and wrapping of instrument sets; proper use of sterilizers, sonic cleaners, and related equipment; and maintaining a clean and safe workplace. The Manager will also perform administrative duties such as staff scheduling, orientation, and assisting with performance reviews when necessary, and will work as a team member across the entire facility, performing additional duties as assigned. Take direction from others and follow through concisely, promoting efficiency. Communicate using written, verbal, and non‑verbal skills with staff, physicians, and ancillary departments. Set priorities and act to protect and advance patient best interests. Provide on‑call coverage as required by the department. Maintain current sterilization logs. Actively involved in QI and PI initiatives. Maintain knowledge of equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications. Consistently demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description and continually demonstrate competency in performing the job duties. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent required. Three years of experience in cleaning and assembling instrument sets and working in sterile processing required. Effective reading, writing, spelling, and basic math skills for calculation and reporting. Good working knowledge of steam and gas sterilization preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
