IT Specialist (APPSW)

Job Title

Develops, configures, deploys and debugs application code and software for on premises, cloud, and mobile devices for the various respective platforms.

Oversees contractual services in support of technical areas including the design, deployment, and implementation of application solutions.

Analyzing cost effectiveness with respect to present and alternate automated methods.

Assists contract software developers, analyzes user requirements, and defines alternative system approaches to solve automation and database problems.

Ensures proper functionality of existing code and is an architect for new requirements.

Develops timetables and coordination controls to ensure the integrity of the system design and the phases of implementation.

Conducts unit testing and creates test plans on various platforms.

Conducts performance tuning and monitoring of applications as part of the development efforts.

Coordinates software configuration management using market standard tools.

Provides support, guidance/direction, and reviews documents as an expert at various phases of the SDLC.

Ensures that all applications and systems software are in compliance with security guidelines, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Researches, evaluates, and deploys advanced application development techniques and strategies in development and production areas.

Develops and recommends procedures to standardize functions for workplace automation systems and/or to define alternative system approaches to solve automation/database problems.

Performs analysis and refinement with the user community to ensure that functional requirements of systems/applications are effectively translated into system-development plans and architectures.

Keeps up-to-date with industry best practices, concepts, and designs.

Conducts tests and utilizes results to improve/correct/refine systems.

Ensure all test concerns/issues affecting the configuration of the IT infrastructure are resolved.

Assist with the assessment and feasibility of adopting new software design and development technologies to meet business requirements.

Manages changes to the task scope and task schedule and tracks task performance and completion.
