PTCR - ADJUNCT OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

Classification Title:Adjunct - Office Administration Instructor (Pool)Department:Office AdministrationPhysical Demands:Able to traverse campus, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, bending, vision, hearing, and talking.Job Summary/Basic Function:Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.Job duties include, but are not limited to:Reports to the Dean of Business, Technology, & Online ProgramsTeaches Office Administration classes using traditional and alternative delivery methodsCollege benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree in Office Administration, Office Technology, Business Administration, or a related field’Minimum of three years of non-teaching wage earning experience in the occupational fieldDemonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populationsInterest in alternative instructional delivery methodsExcellent written and oral communication skillsOther qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institutionExceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are metDesirable Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Office Administration, Office Technology, Business Information Systems, or Business Technology (Preferred), with relevant work experience in administrative support as applicable with relevant work experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Brazosport-College
