Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. The Community Resource Navigator (CRN) plays a pivotal role in supporting Plymouth residents within a team-oriented environment. The primary focus is on maintaining top-tier service delivery in alignment with Plymouth’s mission, emphasizing cultural proficiency, harm reduction, trauma-informed care principles, and the 'housing first' philosophy. The CRN also undertakes the responsibility of educating new residents on building operations and expectations. Additionally, they form an integral part of an onsite Resident Wellbeing team dedicated to enhancing resident well-being, fostering a sense of community, safety, and belonging.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supportive and Community Services Collaborate with residents, building staff, and community partners to identify and organize culturally relevant activities both within and outside the building premises, catering to diverse tenant needs and interests. Develop and maintain an activities calendar, overseeing the planning and execution of events. Actively engage residents to participate in community-building initiatives. Facilitate new resident orientation programs, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment while aiding in their acclimatization to the building and fostering relationships with staff and fellow residents. Procure necessary materials and supplies for events, including maintaining a stock of "welcome baskets" for new tenants. Coordinate food distribution during events. Cultivate respectful and trusting relationships with tenants. Arrange transportation for resident groups using company vehicles. Schedule community bus services or transportation for local shopping and destination trips. Employ conflict resolution techniques and crisis intervention strategies as needed. Distribute informational materials to residents, ensuring accessibility for individuals with language differences, cultural disparities, visual impairments, or other specific needs. Collaborative Plan and execute events and meetings, coordinating resources and managing support from various stakeholders, including building staff, partners, and volunteers. Provide guidance and oversight during community events. Maintain a proactive presence during non-event hours to promote safety and community cohesion. Solicit and incorporate tenant feedback, fostering tenant leadership opportunities. Participate in staff, supervisory, and team meetings, as well as Plymouth committees and workgroups as required. Foster a cooperative work approach and promote teamwork among colleagues across departments. Administrative Coordinate calendared activities and meetings with internal departments. Ensure accurate recording of significant events and activities in daily logs and other program documentation, such as tenant satisfaction surveys.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES WE NEED FROM YOU

Work alongside residents providing support through assessing their needs and providing the information and guidance they need to help them make decisions. Engage with other agencies to ensure that each client receives the support and information that they need acting as a gateway to information and services in their local area. Skilled and experienced at supporting people with being part of their community. Experience with connecting people to local resources and activities. Capacity to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in emergencies and high-stress situations. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Advanced organizational and time management abilities, with exceptional attention to detail.QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years’ experience working in the human services field, preferably with low-income, diverse, homeless, and special needs populations. Skilled and experienced at supporting people with being part of their community, including people with mental health conditions. Experience connecting people and finding local resources and activities Familiarity with trauma-informed care and de-escalation is desired. Experience coordinating events is desired.
