IT Support Specialist

As a small family-owned business in Central Ohio, Five Star Home Services was started over 50 years ago and has expanded to over 40 locations throughout the Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati metropolitan areas. At Five Star, our mission is simple: WE SERVE THOSE IN NEED . Of course, our focus is primarily serving clients with Residential Electric, HVAC, or Plumbing needs, but our passion is much deeper than that. Through our Profit on Purpose program, we donate 10% of our profit to the communities that we serve – a large portion of which goes directly to supporting individuals in short and long-term recovery from drug addiction. What You’ll Do
- Provide first-level technical support (hardware, software, systems)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues—or elevate when needed
- Manage IT tickets, calls, and support requests
- Set up and configure employee devices and accounts
- Maintain and audit IT inventory and systems
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes
- Assist with AV setups and company events
- Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and improvements
- Document processes, fixes, and system updates
- Uphold IT security protocols and best practices
What You Bring
- 2+ years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Computer hardware/software systems
- Ticketing & device management tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA A+
- Network+
