Salary: $115,600 - 254,200 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher baseline certification, such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
• At least 8 years of network engineering experience, including 5 or more years designing and managing cloud and hybrid networks; Google Cloud Platform experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Terraform for network infrastructure as code.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and protocols, including BGP, IPSec, DNS, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud networking products, including VPCs, Cloud Interconnect or VPN, Cloud Armor, and VPC Service Controls.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Bash, for network automation.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.
• Desired: Masters degree in computer science or a related field.
• Desired: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
• Desired: Professional-level networking certification, such as Cisco CCNP or equivalent.
• Desired: Experience designing networks for air-gapped or limited-connectivity environments and familiarity with Cross-Domain Solutions.

• Design and implement enterprise cloud and hybrid network architectures on Google Cloud Platform, including VPCs, subnetting, routing, and firewall policies.
• Lead secure hybrid connectivity implementations, including Cloud Interconnect, dedicated VPNs, and integration with tactical communication systems such as TMN.
• Define and manage network infrastructure as code with Terraform to enable automated, repeatable, and auditable deployments.
• Architect and configure layered network security using VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, and next-generation firewall virtual appliances.
• Implement and manage Google Cloud load balancers to support high availability and effective traffic distribution.
• Analyze network traffic and optimize bandwidth using Google Cloud Observability, Network Intelligence Center, and related tools to diagnose latency and resolve bottlenecks.
• Design and manage networking for containerized workloads, including GKE cluster networking, service mesh, and pod-to-pod communication policies.

We are hiring a full-time Cloud Network Engineer for CACIs SOCEUR Hybrid Threat Action Platform program team. In this regular, short-term assignment, you will help build the foundational network for a mission-critical, multi-level security environment and work with cybersecurity architects, DevSecOps engineers, and mission owners supporting Allied, partner, and U.S. operations. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, involves local travel of up to 10%, and is based in Stuttgart, Germany.
