Director of Housekeeping

Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center – Madisonville, TN

Full-Time M-F | Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care

Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Director to lead and manage our facility’s housekeeping and laundry operations in Madisonville, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to supervise a team while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

Job Requirements:  

• -Proven experience in housekeeping or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.

• -Previous supervisory or management experience.

• -Strong organizational and communication skills.

• -Ability to lead by example and inspire a high-performing team.

• -Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

   

Job Responsibilities:

• -Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations throughout the facility, including resident rooms and common areas.

• -Maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• -Ensure all equipment is clean, properly maintained, and in safe working condition.

• -Supervise, train, and provide leadership to housekeeping and laundry staff.

• -Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.

• -Monitor performance and provide coaching to team members as needed.

• -Manage inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies; place orders as necessary.

• -Ensure timely removal of trash and soiled linens; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• -Collaborate with other department heads to support overall facility operations and resident satisfaction.

• -Promote teamwork, strong work ethics, and a customer-service-driven culture.
