Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This is a 13-week contract position within a fast-paced emergency department setting. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.

As an Emergency Room RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective interventions. Your ability to prioritize, communicate effectively, and maintain composure under pressure will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a high-acuity ER setting.
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on severity of condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and emergency procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures.
• Ability to operate and interpret data from standard emergency room equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.

Shift Details:

• Shift Type: Nights
• Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Days per Week: 3
• Contract Length: 13 weeks - 36hrs/week.
• Weekend Rotation: EOW

Licensing Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Oregon.
• BLS.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• TNCC.
