Certified Nurse Assistant – Long Term Care

Schedule: Part Time Nights, including weekends and holidays. Must be available for a full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements:

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required
• BLS (AHA/RQI) certification required
• One (1) year of previous Long Term Care (LTC) experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment as per care plans, including responding promptly to call lights.
• Support residents' nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Facilitate resident rehabilitation through exercises and proper body alignment.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to nursing staff promptly.

Compliance / Notes: Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
