Renaissance Orlando Resort Disney Springs area is seeking a talented and hospitable Accounting Manager to join our team. The Accounting Manager assures property operations meet internal audit standards, ensures the security of assets and the accurate recording of liabilities, income, expenses and other transactions. Assists in directing the preparation of the annual budget and subsequent forecasts, updates and maintains the data processing equipment and systems, and supervises financial statement preparation and account reconciliation. Selects, trains, disciplines and supervises staff in the department.

Responsibilities include assuring property operations meet internal audit standards, demonstrating positive leadership characteristics, directing the development and implementation of internal control to ensure the security of assets and the accurate recording of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and other transactions, maintaining work area neat and organized, promoting employee empowerment, reporting all unsafe conditions immediately, assisting in directing the preparation of the annual budget and subsequent forecasts, performing in the capacity of any position supervised, responsible for the Accounting office in the absence of the Controller, assisting external and internal auditors, assisting in selecting, training, scheduling, supervising, disciplining, and counseling employees according to Davidson policies and procedures, conducting performance appraisals, responsible for updating and maintaining the data processing equipment and computerized systems, supervising the financial statement preparation and account reconciliation, attending all mandatory meetings, conducting and/or assisting with performance appraisals, delivering the best service, quality and value to every customer, every time, managing financial processes to meet or exceed budgeted profit and margin of the department, managing people according to Davidson's values, maintaining financial standards by routinely inspecting assigned department to ensure that accepted processes are being followed, and identifying and effectively reacting to major revenue and expense opportunities and possible problems on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications include a BA or BS degree in accounting or finance, one year experience in the industry, required statistics math level, ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees, read, write and speak English fluently, and no employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
