Part Time- Senior Inspector, Highway & Bridge Part-time State/Province: Connecticut Business Group: DCS Legal Entity: AECOM Technical Services Inc Business Line: Transportation Work Location Model: On-Site Primary Location: US - Rocky Hill, CT - 500 Enterprise Compensation: USD 80 - USD 90 - hourly AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Inspector, Highway & Bridge to perform construction engineering and inspections on a variety of construction projects including railroads, bridges and highways in Connecticut. Responsibilities Perform assignments in construction layout, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests. Work with minimal direction, using experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals under general supervision of the Construction Project Manager. Set own project deadlines. Provide on-the-job training to new employees. Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records. Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. Track quality assurance progress. Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and 10 years of related experience performing inspections on bridge and/or roadway construction projects or equivalence. Valid U.S. Driver’s License; must pass Motor Vehicle Records review. Preferred Qualifications NICET certification Level 3 (or ability to obtain required level). Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant field. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overnight work. Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT). Additional Information Sponsorship assistance is available.
