Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour day/evening shifts (0700 - 1930), weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need

Highlights:

• 28-bed fast-paced inpatient medical surgical unit at a Magnet-designated hospital
• Diverse patient population including medical diagnoses (COPD, heart failure, infections) and surgical cases (bariatric, orthopedic, neurosurgery)
• Epic EMR system with state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based practice environment
• Patient ratio of up to 6:1 on weekends with strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float requirements to other units as needed; 20 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Free onsite parking available

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or current multistate Compact RN license
• Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years required
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (strict passing criteria applies)
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
• Experience with bariatric, orthopedic trauma, and central line management preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
