Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

Schedule

This position involves working 3x12 hour nights, with rotating weekends and holidays. A block schedule cannot be guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a 32-bed telemetry unit, focusing on patients with cardiopulmonary diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, chest pain, and post-cardiac catheterization cases. This role is critical in monitoring and managing patients requiring telemetry and titration of critical drips.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and review cardiac strips each shift.
• Titrate critical drips including Nitro, Amiodarone, Lasix, Heparin, and Dopamine.
• Provide patient care for adult and geriatric populations.
• Collaborate with the Charge Nurse and float to other units as required.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry required.
• Experience with titrating critical drips is necessary.
• Travel experience is mandatory.
• Chemo administration experience preferred.
