Produce Inspector, Distribution Center

Responsibilities Inspect both inbound product and slotted items for quality and condition. Assist in unloading, receiving, and preparation for put away, as needed. Inspect and grade or appraise agricultural commodities offered for sale to determine value and yield. Verify information such as the manufacturer number, season code, PLU/UPC number. Attend Team and Facility meetings. Participate in yearly physical inventory or as needed. Able to read and download TempTales for proper reporting to vendors. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to write routine reports and correspondence to all buyers and WFP office Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Basic computer skills, including MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Effective oral and written communication, must read, write and speak English Ability to perform physical requirements of position Ability to work well with others Accurate and self-motivated Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the Distribution Center, including nights, weekends and holidays as required Desired Work Experiences Related experience (1-2 years) Warehouse experience preferred The wage range for this position is $25.73-$41.65 Hourly, commensurate with experience.
