Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This outpatient pharmacy is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for PRN coverage with ongoing opportunities to support vacation and staffing needs. The role is based in San Mateo, CA, offering a flexible schedule primarily on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with possible weekend shifts, anytime between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper use
Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care outcomes
Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and potential interactions
Manage pharmacy inventory by ordering and restocking medications as needed
Provide guidance on over-the-counter products and respond to customer inquiries
Ensure all activities comply with federal and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications:
Active and clear California Pharmacist License is required
Recent pharmacy experience is essential
Previous experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting is highly desirable
Flexible availability to cover variable shifts, including potential weekends
Schedule:
Tuesday and Wednesday with possible weekend shifts
Hours between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM, flexible timing
