Step into an impactful role providing tailored Occupational Therapy services for a 3rd-grade student in the Lawrence Township area. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering after-school compensatory services and ongoing IEP-mandated sessions. You'll build a supportive relationship with the student and family, working collaboratively to help meet IEP goals and facilitate meaningful progress.

This position kicks off as soon as possible, with all scheduling after 3:30 PM and flexibility for accommodating the family's needs. The service requirements include an initial compensatory block of 11 sessions (30 minutes each), followed by a weekly 30-minute mandate. Beginning November, this transitions to a monthly 30-minute session as part of the IEP step-down plan. This arrangement offers ongoing engagement with a single student and the chance to see the direct impact of your expertise.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for New Jersey
• Experience providing OT services within school settings, preferably for elementary students
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Ability to design and implement individualized therapeutic activities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with families and educational teams
• Commitment to maintaining accurate records and tracking student progress

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct compensatory OT sessions and ongoing IEP-mandated services
• Collaborate with the student's family and school staff to coordinate session times and ensure continuity of care
• Assess progress and adapt interventions to align with IEP goals and transition planning
• Maintain thorough documentation of each session, demonstrating compliance and effectiveness
