Account Manager

Sales Account ManagerThe Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with customers and overseeing customer accounts. This person will work to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver positive customer experience and will help grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.Duties/Responsibilities:Manages a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.Develops positive relationships with clients.Acts as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs.Generates new business using existing and potential customer networks.Resolves conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.Reports on the status of accounts and transactions.Multi-tasks between various programs and phone calls.Enters correct customer and customer order data into a CRM and ERP system.Opens and maintains customer accounts.Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results.Manages in-coming calls.Works closely with various other departments.Processes customer design and cost requests.Prepares and presents quotes.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Proven customer support experience.Strong phone contact handling and active listening skills.Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.Ability to work in a team environment.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferredAt least two years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred.Understanding of manufacturing processes preferred.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
