Precision and clinical expertise: You perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies—and you own the quality of every image you produce. Your scanning protocols are solid, your image optimization is second nature, and you review your own work for diagnostic completeness before it reaches the radiologist. Mastery of standards and systems: You bring real knowledge of ultrasound anatomy, physiology, and multi‑specialty protocols. You are proficient in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems, and your documentation is accurate, complete, and done in real time. Agility and autonomy: You manage your own workflow, keep your exam area stocked and clean, and support departmental operations without needing to be directed at every turn. You adapt when exams run long, when protocols shift, or when a patient requires extra time and care—because in a high‑volume outpatient environment, self‑sufficiency is the baseline. Patient empathy: Every patient receives your full attention—a clear explanation of the procedure, confirmation of clinical history, and genuine care for their comfort before the probe ever touches skin. Qualifications ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry‑eligible with a clear path to certification Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred Current BLS certification Valid state licensure current (where required) Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems Strong image optimization and multi‑specialty scanning protocol knowledge Ability to work independently in a high‑volume outpatient environment Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture Benefits We believe in preventative care for everyone including our team – SimonMed provides free, whole‑body scans to each member Competitive wages No nights/no calls/no weekends Cross training opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) eligibility Pet Insurance Paid holidays PTO Sick Time The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location. The base salary range does not include any bonuses, equity, or benefits. North California: $41.00 - $55.00 South California: $32.00 - $48.00 Colorado: $33.00 - $43.00 New York: $40.00 - $55.00 For locations not listed above, compensation will be discussed with candidates during the interview process.
