Senior Java/Python Application Systems Developer
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, USA (Onsite) | Employment Type: Full-Time, W2, CTC | Job Code: PAN-00000044
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Python with a focus on scalability and performance
- Build and maintain SOAP and REST APIs while implementing microservices architecture patterns
- Write optimized SQL queries and analyze existing queries for performance improvements across multiple database platforms
- Support legacy system migration initiatives and maintain existing applications using Perl and other scripting languages
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using Git or Subversion in Linux/Unix environments
- Collaborate on ETL processes, data pipelines, and batch processing systems as needed
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience with Java and Python development
- Strong proficiency in SOAP/REST APIs, backend architecture, and microservices design patterns
- 7+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or Ingres
- 5+ years of experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for performance
- Experience with Git/Subversion, Linux/Unix environments, and version-controlled development workflows
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across multiple programming languages and environments
- Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), ETL processes, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
