Quality Control Inspector 1st Shift

Position Description Precision CNC Manufacturer seeking experienced QC Inspector. The QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, performing in-process inspections of product, and ensuring tight tolerance machined parts meet the specifications of the drawings and the parts meet customer's quality standards. The Quality Control Inspector performs a variety of routine inspection procedures to ensure quality at various stages of production. Inspects in-process and/or finished parts and subassemblies for conformance to quality assurance standards. Responsibilities Perform first article inspections. Conduct random inspections throughout the day. Immediately coordinate any problems with the Quality Supervisor. Other responsibilities include inspecting in-process and finished parts for conformance. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in a similar environment Strong knowledge of inspection tools, advanced shop mathematics and machine shop practices Mechanical inspection experience Thorough knowledge of geometric tolerancing (GD&T) Ability to work from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions Strong computer skills CMM experience desired Team player and flexible with work assignments Mechanical skills and capacity Problem solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Mathematical skills – proficient in shop math Communication proficiency – writes clearly, presents data effectively, reads and interprets information Judgment – exhibits sound and accurate judgment, includes appropriate people in decision-making process Quality – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality Productivity – works in a timely manner, works quickly Benefits State of the art equipment Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Company paid life insurance & supplemental available 401K Vacation Paid holidays We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
