Greensboro, NC | Emergency Department (Combined Adult/Pedi, Non-Trauma)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend and holiday availability required (minimum 8 weekends per contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined Adult/Pediatric, Non-Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform triage, phlebotomy, IV placement, and blood product administration
• Manage central lines and administer continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Support ventilated patients and apply CPAP/BiPAP; interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Complete and pass a compliance EKG exam prior to assignment start (2 attempts allowed)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No open background check cases permitted
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with procedural sedation and management of ventilated patients
• Background in triage within a high-volume emergency department setting
• Comfort with floating across multiple campus locations
