Description The Maintenance Worker will perform a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance, repair, and construction tasks in the mechanical, building, and electrical trades as assigned by the Buildings and Grounds supervisor. The employee will participate in quality improvement activities at all agency sites. Major Responsibilities Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other related work as directed by the Facilities manager. Follow appropriate safety guidelines in completing duties. Properly use, clean, and store equipment needed to complete duties. Complete duties in a timely and responsible manner. Operate maintenance equipment such as saws, bob cats, and power tools. Move with mobility to access multi‑level buildings and ladders for repair tasks. Exhibit appropriate language, work attitudes and dress. Maintain dependability, proper work attendance, and punctuality. Show respect and courtesy in all interactions and communications, internal or external to the agency. Demonstrate interest, knowledge, and support for the agency’s mission, values, and philosophy. Show self‑directed behaviors and initiative, seeking supervisory counsel when appropriate. Accept constructive criticism and use supervision appropriately. Model and practice sensitivity, fair treatment, and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions. Be available for on‑call duties as required. Comply with all agency policies and procedures. Competitive Pay Rate : $20–$25 per hour based on experience. Minimum Requirements Basic knowledge in trades such as drywall, electric, plumbing, and carpentry. Ability to operate equipment related to painting, spraying, scaffolding, and ladders. Valid driver’s license required with continued automobile insurance. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.
